Yay! The End of My Work Week!

I'm so glad that today is the end of my work week.  I'm so grateful that most weeks I have Fridays off.  It is such a blessing to only have to work 4 days most weeks.  And I'm beyond glad that I get to spend 3 straight days with my little guy.  Sunday nights as I go to sleep all I can focus on is getting through the next 96 hours, 40 of which I have to spend away from Tate working, 42 of which he spends sleeping (on good nights).  Which leaves us 14 hours together Monday-Thursday.

So on this gorgeous fall day in Houston with temps at about 65 degrees I'm antsy to go pick him up from school and get started on this weekend.  How lucky am I that we get 3 whole days together?!?  And as much as I wish I had a partner to share in the joy that is Tate, I'm so grateful sometimes to be a single mother by choice because I get Tate all to myself if I want it to be that way.  We can spend all day in pajamas just hanging out, reading books and playing.  Sure the house stays messy, sure I have errands I could run and people I would like to spend time with, but sometimes just being on the floor with Tate is what I need most.  We don't have alot of plans this weekend.  Tomorrow morning we go to the allergist for a check-up early early at 745am, then we have our swim lessons at 930.  We'll hang out together and nap together!!  He's off to get his hair trimmed in the afternoon.  We have Gymboree Saturday morning and a birthday party in the afternoon.  And Sunday we have Aunt Lindsey's birthday dinner at my parents'.  

Well goodness all spelled out it seems like we are going to be quite busy, but we'll be busy together!

Three days together!!  So very grateful to be able to have so much time with my precious boy!
