Later that morning, Christian decided to take a shower. Tate immediately followed him into the bathroom (and we were all on the same page about letting Tate go to the potty with Christian in hopes it would help continue the home potty training). He then insisted on showering with his Daddy. Tate quickly remembered he doesn't like showering, so they ventured into the tub apparently. And a tradition was born for the week.
Tate also insisted on wearing a towel about his waist just like his daddy...

| It's like Christian ordered up the most fun for Tate. EVER!! |
I knew a nap would be difficult for Tate due to his extremely late wake-up though I knew he was over-tired. We drove to the store to pick up a few items hoping he would fall asleep in the car. No luck. In any event we went to the German version of a Target....it was quite expansive I must say. I didn't expect something so big. Though the choices were still not nearly on par in number as here in the states, there was something for everyone. We picked up a hair straightener for me, a couple of puzzles for Tate and some bubbles for the boys to play with in the evening.
Once home, we walked back to Katha and Sebastian's for a bar-b-que. The food was yummy, though what Sebastian calls steak is definitely not from a cow :). But it was delicious. The weather was gorgeous, and we sat on their balcony. Tate picked about his food and began his week log nourishment of yogurt, milk and cornflakes. Sigh.

I showered and then hung out with Christian and his parents on the balcony in the cool night. I crawled into bed around 10 praying Tate would sleep better this evening.
Sadly, this did not happen. Around 11pm again he woke screaming. And hollering. I tried everything again. Nothing was working. And Christian didn't wake up this time either because he didn't hear Tate or because he didn't want to hear Tate. Finally around midnight I tiptoed into Christian's room and woke him asking him to please drive us around in the car. When he finally came to, we bundled Tate up in the carseat and headed for the autobahn. We drove around for about 40 minutes. Tate never fell asleep, but he instantly calmed down once we were in the car. I asked Christian to take us on home; he went straight back to bed and I sat up with Tate for about another 30 minutes. He finally fell asleep with me in the bed around 1am. I tossed and turned the rest of the night, exhausted, frustrated and wanting to go home.
Sunday morning came too early.
