A Season of Advent 2014

The season of joyful anticipation is over.  And goodness did we enjoy it. Now it's time to be thankful for God's amazing gift.

I tried to be sure Tate understood that the excitement was not about each book and lego each day, but about the excitement leading up to the celebration of the birth of Christ.  I realize that his excitement is definitely more about the gifts and books at this time in his little life, but I hope that constantly reminding him, celebrating in church, attending a Christian school and surrounding him with other strong Christians that he will start to truly understand and be grateful for such a gift.

Advent Days 9-24

Day 9 - We went to the SU Candlelight service on this night straight from my office, so we didn't do the book opening at home; we did it in the car on the way home from the lovely service.  He read the book out loud to himself and then went to sleep.
