Tate woke up dry from his nap yesterday afternoon, as he does quite a bit. This time I had the where-with-all to immediately take his diaper off and put him on his potty!! And VOILA!!!
He peed in the potty!!
I did the happy dance, the happy song, the happy jig, the happy clapping, the happy jumping up and down, the happy head bounce, the happy squiggle.
He looked up at me, hippo lovey in hand, pacifier in mouth, stood up and walked away.
I think he has no clue what he has done. But we're going to try again today when (note I didn't say 'if') he wakes up dry from his nap. He will tell me when he has pooped in his pants more than half the time. He seems to relish in telling me as we're walking out the door to daycare in our frantic morning rush. He'll point to his bottom and say 'Tate, poop.' But hey, baby steps.
Gotta go get on my happy shoes as he'll be up in a bit!!
