A Pictorial of Our First Four Days in Ottawa

Day One!  On our way!  Canada, here we come!!!!!

Two hour layover in Newark calls
for some Cheerios!  The lunch of
champions!
He colored these Mickey Mouse pictures
almost the entire plane ride Newark to
Ottawa.  I was able to get about a
30 minute nap!
Once we got a bit settled, I got Tate all bundled up and he headed outside in the early evening on Friday to play in the snow with Katherine and Alex!

Tate could not wait to get back outside Saturday morning when he woke up.  30 minutes later I had him dressed and he was out the door!

Later that morning Susan and I took the kids sledding.  There are lots of pictures of this venture.  I especially love the set of him going down the hill, love seeing how much fun he has!!

It's a long lonely walk back up the hill!! :)
The end of another run on his own.  Alex came to make sure
he was ok!  Katherine is off to do some shoveling!

The kids found some ice to climb as we left!

There aren't many pictures from our ski venture to Edelweiss, (since he didn't get on the skis) but the ones I got are gorgeous of the area.

My not so happy skier!

Happy now that he doesn't have to
hurl his body down a mountain
on two skinny sticks!
We took the kids out to dinner after a respite at home that included trains and Curious George.  Dinner with a 9 year old, a 7 year old and a 3 year old = A whirlwind of activity at the table.
Our low key Monday didn't generate alot of pics.  But I did get some cute ones when we visited the local playground.  Tate really seemed to enjoy just stomping around in the snow that was pristine and untouched.

Once we were home he ran off to play in the HUGE basement.  This house Susan and Dan are renting for this stint is amazingly big with an outdoor pool (and NOT an above ground pool...a real pool like we have here in Texas).  Sadly, we couldn't see it as it was frozen, but apparently their kids had a blast swimming this past summer!  Anyway, Tate had a great time playing all by himself with the train sets the kids have in the basement.

This basement is just fantastic.  We need these in Houston!

All in all a great start to our vacation!!!!
