Three Hugs and Kisses for the Third Day of Advent

Morning Excitement...

Here he is today after a long day of school with no nap.  He was exhausted...he napped yesterday at school.  Which sounds great right?  Well that means he didn't fall asleep until about 8:30/8:45 last night.   Which in turn had him up at 5:21 this morning after a night where he tossed and turned.  He tossed and turned because he missed so much of his early sleep cycle.  Amazingly he didn't nap today.  But maybe not so amazingly...he was simply overtired.  He was a basket case when I picked him up, though he holds it together for them at school extremely well.  However, he'd had a difficult day of sorts...one of the kids in his class celebrated his birthday today with cupcakes and ice cream.  I had no idea this was being done, so I didn't have a allergy safe cupcake at the school for Tate, nor any ice cream.  (Why noone thinks to let parents know that outside food is being served is beyond me.)  So he was a bit sad he didn't get to have cake or ice cream...my sweet boy.  Believe me I'm shooting an email off to the director about that whole situation tonight.  

So we made it through dinner and bathtime with just a few tears...no meltdowns, but quick tears whenever something wasn't just right.  Then we got to the book for Advent...a slightly happy boy.

He laid down after his two bedtime stories and was out in 2 minutes.  Love this little boy!
