Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Tate and I have had a beautiful, busy month and I'm ever grateful for all that we are able to do, the people we love, the people who love us and all this amazing life together has brought us.

A busy, busy festive month we've had!

Vincent has decided Tate is his new favorite person.  Whenever Tate starts playing on the floor, Vincent is practically on top of him, much to Tate's chagrin.  All I hear is "Vincent's bothering me!"  "Vincent's touching my toys!!"  "Mommmm, the cat is sitting on my tracks."

Sigh.  Brotherly Love.

We had a dental check-up!

Totally kicking back while getting his teeth cleaned, while
I was off seeing patients!
We had our last Saturday morning soccer for the fall season...

I took him off to my parents for the night on the 9th, so I could have a night with my girlfriends.  We had our annual Girls' Thanksgiving Dinner.  Oh how I love these women!

Sunday morning I desperately tried to sleep in, but woke up at 5:30, 7 and finally climbed out of bed at 8.  But getting to turn over again and again and lazing around in bed was AWESOME!  I made my way down to my parents' to pick up Tate and he and I headed out to Dewberry Farm!!!

We had an absolute blast, just me and my sweet little guy!  I'm so very thrilled that he and I can have such a fantastic time together no matter what we do.  We're a small family, Tate and I, but we're mighty.  Mighty Fun!
First up a ride on a pony!

Of course we found the train...

And the train playground...

I finagled my bum into the Cow Train to join Tate on the ride!

There were two really cool slides...

And who doesn't love a carousel?

Or a bounce pad?

Dirt bikes are cool too!

We went on a pumpkin walk.  These are absolutely amazing

And it's not a festival without face painting, though my child is not a fan of paint on his face.  He always chooses his arm.  And a train.

Three and a half hours later, full of joy and laughter we headed back into town for some adult fun.  We went to the Southwestern Texans Watch Party.
Another work week went by and it was time for the rainy weekend!  We hung out at home a bit, but found ourselves at a very festive birthday party Saturday evening!

It was an Ariel birthday party
for our sweet friend H!

Trying to get 4 kids to cooperate for a group photo.  Sigh.

We hadn't ridden the zoo train in a few weeks, so that needed to be rectified...and yes it was way warm enough for shorts at almost 90 degrees on November 17th.

Last Saturday we had a birthday party for our friend H who turned 5 at Build-A-Bear!  Tate got a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!  He had an absolute blast!  It was a rainy rainy weekend, but we still made it to church on Sunday.  With Rudolph in tow.
Getting stuffed!!

He's getting so excited!
Giving Rudolph his first bath!

New BFFs!
A quick carousel ride!!
Sunday we went to church then off to the Museum of Natural Science!

Of course if there is a train to be found, Tate will find it.  Lovely set-up in the church parish hall.

 Hanging out with the dinos!

First time in a planetarium!  We saw the Starry Night Express (no surprise!!)!

Last Friday Tate's little school put on a cute little Thanksgiving program for the parents and we had a luncheon at the school as well.  My parents and I enjoyed watching Tate have an absolute blast performing!!

"Give thanks with a grateful heart.  Give thanks to the Holy One.  Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son."

Wonderful family picture-- a treasure, really. And those slides--we have nothing like that here!
